(Hokkaido, Japan) — There’s a new record holder for the world’s oldest man. At 112-years and 259 days old, Masazo Nonaka of Japan earned the title Tuesday. He credits his long life to eating sweets and visiting hot springs. Guinness World Records editor-in-chief Craig Glenday noted Nonaka’s accomplishment, saying he can teach everyone about the value of life. The previous record holder died in January at the age of 113.
