(Cupertino, CA) — Apple is facing a class action lawsuit over its MacBook butterfly keyboards. The suit filed in U.S. DIstrict Court claims the company sold a computer with a constant threat of nonresponsive keys and keyboard failure. The new type of keyboard was introduced in 2015 with an aim for comfort. But several users have found that the keyboard has more problems than its worth, failing twice as often in the first year as previous models. The suit also claims Apple hasn’t provided enough information to consumers about the problems. The suit seeks reimbursement for the costs of replacing the defective laptops and any economic losses that resulted because of them.
