Three people were hospitalized following an accident near Marshall yesterday (5/24). According to the Illinois State Police, a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Suzette Ashbaugh, of Ellsworth, Kansas was westbound on I-70 when she left the roadway and struck the rear of an IDOT truck that was parked along the shoulder. After the impact, veered off into the ditch where it came to rest. The IDOT truck driver was 57-year-old Alan Dorjahn, of Mattoon. Ashbaugh and front seat passengers were airlifted to Carle. The backseat passenger was taken to Regional Hospital in Terre Haute. On Friday, May 25th, the front seat passenger, Kelsea Cline, 28, of Columbus, OH was pronounced deceased at Carle Hospital as a result of injuries sustained from the crash.
