(Washington, DC) — Federal regulators are moving forward with new standards for high chairs. This comes after it was discovered that since 2012, there have been over 18-thousand high chair-related injuries treated in emergency rooms. Companies are now required to incorporate a three-point restraint system and certain rearward stability mechanisms in the chairs. The new standards will take effect in about a year.
