(Omaha, NE) — The Oregon State Beavers are the College World Series champions. Freshman Kevin Abel pitched a complete game shutout to lead Oregon State past Arkansas 5-0 in the decisive Game Three from Omaha Thursday night. Abel struck out 10 and Adley Rutschman tallied three hits and two RBI for the Beavers. Rutschman was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. It’s the third title in school history for Oregon State. Isaiah Campbell took the loss for Arkansas, which was shut out for the first time all season. The Razorbacks fell short of their first-ever College World Series title.
