Forecasters says the Fourth of July heat wave could be dangerous. Large parts of the country will be sweltering with thick humidity and temperatures near and above 100 degrees over the holidays. A heat dome over the U.S. will affect about 60-million Americans, and 18 states have posted heat warnings and advisories. Thursday’s high temperature in Denver was a record-tying 105 degrees, and excessive heat warnings have been issued throughout the Midwest. The heat dome will expand this weekend, raising temperatures as far east as New York and Vermont.
