(Goleta, CA) — The Holiday fire in Goleta, California is now 80-percent contained. Officials in Santa Barbara County say the fire has destroyed about 20 structures and caused over two-thousand people to be evacuated. Meanwhile a brush fire has broken out in the hills above Burbank, forcing mandatory evacuations. About a dozen fires are burning across California, as scorching temperatures and dry conditions continue to fuel the flames. In Northern California, authorities say a person has died from a wildfire raging near the Oregon border. The twenty-one-thousand-acre Klamathon Fire has destroyed at least a dozen buildings and is only five percent contained.
