(Nashville, TN) — The accused Tennessee Waffle House shooter may not face a murder trial following his mental evaluation. It has been found that Travis Reinking may be mentally incompetent, which could excuse him from the trial process. Reinking is accused of killing four people after he opened fire at the Waffle House in Antioch back in April. A motion requesting a competency hearing on August 22nd is expected to be filed. Abede Dasilva, the brother of shooting victim Akilah Dasilva, released a statement demanding that Reinking be held accountable for the murders. He claims Reinking targeted the victims based on their skin color. Dasilva is urging everyone to come out to the court on August 22nd to fight for justice.
