(New York, NY) — CBS is parting ways with the executive producer of 60 Minutes. Jeff Fager was fired today only three days after the resignation of the network’s CEO, Leslie Moonves. CBS News chief David Rhodes wrote in a memo that Fager was fired because he violated company policy. He did not go into details. The New Yorker has reported that former employees allege that Fager allowed sexual harassment in the division and allowed misconduct by Charlie Rose and other male staffers to go unchecked. It also reported Fager behaved inappropriately to some female employees. Fager has denied the allegations. Executive Editor Bill Owens takes over managing the news magazine show while a search is underway for a new executive producer.
