According to the Moultrie County Sheriff’s Department, a 20-year-old Mattoon man died following a head-on collision this afternoon. He was eastbound on County Road 800 North when he crossed the center line and struck another truck head-on. The driver and passenger of the second truck, both Sullivan residents, were taken to Carle Foundation Hospital. The accident remains under investigation.
