Red Cross In Severe Blood Shortage
(Washington, DC) — The Red Cross is putting out an emergency call for blood donors. Nearly 27-hundred blood drives have been canceled nationwide because of the coronavirus. That would have been 86-thousand donations. This has led to a severe shortage which could affect patients counting on lifesaving blood. The Red Cross says it’s taken steps to ensure blood drives and donation centers are safer than ever.
