NYC Coronavirus Cases Rise 50-Percent
(New York, NY) — Cases of coronavirus in New York City are rising sharply, going up 50-percent in just hours. Citywide, there are 3,615 positive cases of COVID-19 and 22 fatalities. Currently, there are 980 cases in Queens, 976 in Manhattan, 1,030 in Brooklyn, 436 in the Bronx, and 165 in Staten Island. Governor Cuomo announced there were nearly two-thousand new cases overnight and then the city’s case count went up another 50-percent within hours. As of 5 pm on March 18th, there were 554 people hospitalized with 169 of those people in the ICU.
