(Nashville, TN) — Coronavirus is claiming the life of a popular country-folk singer. John Prine’s family says the artist died of complications from COVID-19 on Tuesday at a Nashville hospital. He was 73 years old. The Illinois-native released his first album in 1971. He was revered by famous artists like Bob Dylan, Kris Kristofferson, Bonnie Raitt and others. Prine had previous health issues as well, including cancer surgery in the late 90s and treatment for lung cancer in 2013.
