Quake Shakes Parts Of Southern California
(Undated) — Parts of Southern California were rattled overnight by a magnitude 3.7 earthquake that struck Los Angeles County. The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake, which was originally reported as a magnitude 3.8, struck around midnight Pacific time in the View Park-Windsor Hills area near Inglewood. That’s about ten miles from downtown L.A. Although there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti tweeted that the fire department had been “activated to conduct its routine survey of the city to assess for any damages.” Things could be felt shaking at L-A-X, where crews were also dispatched to check out facilities at the airport. Operations there were not impacted.
