This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Illinois, east central Illinois and southeast Illinois including Clark-Clay-Coles-Crawford-Cumberland-Douglas-Edgar-Effingham-Jasper-Lawrence-Moultrie-Richland and Shelby counties
DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT… Periods of moderate to heavy rain will continue into afternoon today. Totals could be near an inch, especially toward Flora, Olney, and Lawrenceville.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY… The next storm system has the potential for another inch to inch and a half of rain Friday night and Saturday. This could result in the potential for flooding on flood prone rivers. While scattered thunderstorms are possible Friday and Friday night, they are not expected to be severe.
Another chance of thunderstorms will occur on Tuesday. The severe weather potential is uncertain at this time.
SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT… Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
