One person was hospitalized for smoke inhalation in a fire this morning in Charleston. According to the Charleston Fire Department, crews were called to 812 Taft at 2:25 a.m. Firefighters found fire inside one of the lower level apartments. Crews were quickly able to bring the fire under control. The fire and water damage was contained to the one apartment. Some smoke spread throughout the building. The area of origin was the bathroom of the apartment.
