Illinois Governor Calls Challenge To Stay At Home Order Dangerous
(Chicago, IL) — Illinois Governor JB Pritzker is not happy with the southern Illinois lawmaker who is challenging his coronavirus quarantine order. The governor yesterday said state Rep. Darren Bailey is simply trying to get some headlines by suing to roll-back Illinois’ Stay at Home order. Pritzker called the lawsuit dangerous, said it could cost people lives, and thinks it sets a terrible precedent. Bailey sued in southern Illinois to end the governor’s order, saying state law gives the governor the power only to declare an emergency for 30 days before lawmakers have to chime-in.
