U.S. Crude Oil Price Surges As Inventories Rise Less Than Expected
(Undated) — U.S. crude oil prices are surging as inventories rise less than expected. West Texas Intermediate crude is up a dollar-75 a barrel, more than 14-percent, to 14-09 and international benchmark Brent crude is up 74 cents, to 21-20 a barrel. The American Petroleum Institute reported Tuesday that crude inventories in this country rose by ten-million barrels last week, substantially less than the ten-point-six million barrel build analysts had forecast.
