(Charleston), IL – Coles County Health Department, (CCHD) was notified today of One additional laboratory confirmed COVID-19 case. Our total confirmed COVID-19 laboratory case count for Coles County is One-Hundred and Forty-Six with Two currently hospitalized, One-Hundred and Twenty-Four recovered, Seventeen deceased, and Three recovering. Coles County Health Department (CCHD) continues vigilant contact tracing following Illinois Department of Public Health protocol and guidance.
To date, the total cases associated with Charleston Rehab and Healthcare is Eighty-Three confirmed cases. The total Eighty-Three confirmed cases includes residents and employees. Not all of the Charleston Rehab and Healthcare employees live in Coles County.
To date, the total cases associated with Mattoon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center is Two staff.
CCHD does not regularly identify the names of long-term care facilities with outbreaks of communicable diseases. However, in partnership with Charleston Rehab and Healthcare, Mattoon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, the CCHD is identifying these facilities to assist with communications to the community and family members of residents. Coles County Health Department continues to be in direct communication with IDPH, Charleston Rehab and Healthcare, Mattoon Rehabilitation and Heath Care Center, as well as, long-term care facilities.
