Two people from Terre Haute were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Clark County, Monday morning, October 26, 2020.
According to the Illinois State Police, a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Kathlene Beck crossed the centerline on Route 40 and struck a vehicle driven by 64-year-old Michael Jonas, causing his van to spin out. After spinning, the vehicle crossed the center line and struck a vehicle driven by 51-year-old Arun Odhayamangalam, pushing it into a guardrail. 30-year-old Nauman Khan was unable to slow in time and struck Odhayamangalam’s car.
Odhayamangalam suffered life threatening injuries. Jonas sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Beck was ticketed for improper lane usage, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and failure to wear a seat belt.
