Lettuce Recall Over Possible E. Coli Contamination
(Salinas, CA) — A lettuce recall is in effect because of E.coli. The voluntary recall by producer Tanimura and Antle in Salinas, California was confirmed by an FDA tweet Friday. The company’s romaine lettuce packed as single heads with packaging dates of October 15 and 16 are affected. The product was distributed in Puerto Rico and in 19 U.S. states. The states are Alaska, Arkansas, California, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin. There are no reports of anyone getting sick.
