Illinois New COVID-19 Case Numbers Dropping

(Springfield, IL) — Illinois’ new COVID-19 daily case numbers are dropping, with the state reporting the fewest in nearly a week. Health officials announced over 83-hundred new cases of the virus yesterday, the first time since last Wednesday that the state has been under ten-thousand cases in a single day. Officials also reported 47 new deaths. A total of over 664-thousand people in the state have tested positive for the virus and more than eleven-thousand-500 have died since the pandemic began.
