U.S. Army Assisting In Rockford Mass Shooting Investigation
(Rockford, IL) — The U.S. Army is assisting in the investigation of a mass shooting in Rockford. Army Sergeant First Class Duke Webb was arrested after the shooting at Don Carter Lanes Saturday that left three dead and three wounded. He is assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida and was on leave when the shooting occurred. Rockford Police say they are still investigating Webb’s connection to the Rockford area. The 37-year-old joined the Army in 2008, and officials say he had up to 15 years of military experience.
