A Charleston home sustained minor damage in a fire this morning.
According to Charleston Fire Chief Steve Bennett, crews were dispatched just after midnight to 1900 North 11th Street, where they found a single family residence that was under renovation with smoke and a small amount of fire in the living room. The fire was quickly extinguished. No one was living in the home at the time, but there was evidence of squatters.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
