Two women were injured in a crash on I-57 in Douglas County this morning, Tuesday, January 19, 2021.
According to the Illinois State Police, a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Lisa Hanken, of Humboldt, rear-ended a car driven by 45-year-old Mary Jenkins, of Charleston. Hanken’s vehicle came to rest in the median and caught fire. Both drivers were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Hanken was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
