Champaign County Has Highest Home Sales Since 2006

(Champaign, IL) — Champaign County is reporting its highest total home sales since 2006. The Champaign County Association of Realtors says nearly 31-hundred units were sold last year, compared to 27-hundred-54 in 2019. President Liz McDonald says low interest rates and the work-from-home trend during the pandemic were factors leading more people to purchase houses last year.
