A Mattoon man faces multiple charges after running his vehicle into Lake Paradise this morning, Thursday, February 11, 2021. Deputies were called to County Road 150 East at 270 North at 1:30 for a report of a truck with the lights on halfway submerged in the lake. The driver, 19-year-old Connor Alvis, had left the scene. He was later located and cited for DUI, possessing and consuming liquor by a minor and improper lane usage.
