An Effingham man was arrested after breaking into Crossroads Bank on North Keller Drive Friday, February 19, 2021. Effingham Police say 33-year-old Jerome Wagnon tried to gain entry into the bank vault and when that was unsuccessful, began damaging items inside the bank and tried to start a fire. He’s charged with burglary, criminal damage to property in excess of $500, and arson.
