A New Orleans woman is in custody after being arrested Monday, March 1, 2021, in Effingham. A traffic stop on West Fayette led to the discovery of a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, along with digital scales and other controlled substances. 47-year-old Nicole Yeates is charged with aggravated methamphetamine trafficking with intent to delivery, possession of a controlled substance, delivery or possession with intent to deliver MDMA, and possession with intent to deliver 100 to 400 grams of meth.
