The Effingham Performance Center will host an event to raise awareness of local support services for Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia this Saturday (3/13). In addition to area nonprofits that will be on hand, the evening will include country singer Jay Allen, who wrote the song “Blank Stares” about his mom, who died from Alzheimer’s at the age of 54. Jay has raised over $35 million to fight the disease. Tickets for the evening are $21.00 each and are available by calling 217-540-2788 or go to ticketmaster.com/epc.
