Pet Food Recall: Midwestern Pet Foods

Midwestern Pet Foods is issuing a voluntary recall of specific products including brands:

CanineX, Earthbound, Holistic, Venture, Unrefined, Sportmix Wholesomes, Pro Pac, Pro Pac Ultimates. Sportstrail, Sportmix and Meridian Brands

These brands with expiration dates ranging April 2022 through September 2022 and produced at Midwestern Pet Foods Monmouth, Illinois production facility are affected. These products have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. Salmonella can affect animals eating the products and there is risk to humans from handling contaminated pet products, especially if they have not washed their hands after handling the open products.
