Thursday, April 22, 2021, Ed Dowd, Executive Director of the Mattoon Chamber of Commerce was a guest on 101.3 WMCI. Here is a brief description of what he covered during the interview:
- The Restaurant Revitalization Fund – RFF – Local bars and restaurants who have been detrimentally affected by the pandemic have another opportunity to receive funding to help them survive the pandemic. The American Rescue Plan Act through the Small Business Administration established the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) to provide funding to help restaurants and other eligible businesses keep their doors open. This program will provide restaurants with funding equal to their pandemic-related revenue loss up to $10 million per business and no more than $5 million per physical location. Recipients are not required to repay the funding as long as funds are used for eligible uses no later than March 11, 2023. All the details are available as a link on our website or at SBA.gov/loans/covid-19reliefoptions/restaurantrevitalizationfund. The good news is there is plenty of time to apply since the application is not even open yet.
- As always please continue to support local services, shop local, dine local and visit local establishments. Also, remember to be kind and patient with the workers at these locations since many of these businesses are short staffed.
Keep up to date at the Mattoon Chamber of Commerce website.
