Mom Wants Teacher Accused Of Battering Child Fired
(Decatur, IL) — A mother is among several who want a teacher accused of battering a child in Decatur fired. Four people spoke during the public comment section of yesterday’s Decatur School Board meeting, calling for Jamie Goodman to be fired. Goodman faces an aggravated battery of a child charges. Police say Goodman pushed eight-year-old Amylah Dady’s head down and hit the student’s forehead into the desk top.
