Illinois’ New Mask Mandate In Effect Today
(Undated) — Illinois’ new mask mandate goes into effect today. All Illinois residents must wear a mask indoors, regardless of vaccination status. The mandate was put in place due to rising COVID-19 cases and hospitalization rates in the state. Illinois leaders are also requiring all healthcare workers, all pre-k through 12 teachers and staff, and higher education personnel and students to receive the COVID vaccine.
