Southern Illinois School Locked Down After Snapchat Threat Discovered
(Harrisburg, IL) — A “random Snapchat” indicating a threat to Harrisburg Unit Three Schools is responsible for causing a districtwide lockdown. District officials say they became aware of the potential threat yesterday morning, and that it wasn’t directed at a particular school, student, or staff member. All schools in the district were locked down while police and officials investigated the threat. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, but that the post didn’t rise to the level of a credible threat to an individual school.
