Charleston Area Chamber of Commerce Announces New Chair-Elect
The Charleston Area Chamber of Commerce announced today the election of Kyle Barrow as its new Chair-Elect. He presently serves on the Chamber’s Board of Director and President of Olmsted Brothers Insulation.
Barrow replaces Cindy Rivas from Sarah Bush Lincoln Health System, who voluntarily stepped down from the position. She will continue to serve as a member of the Board of Directors.
“We are excited to have Kyle serve in this expanded role for The Chamber,” states Jeff Baker, SPHR, Chair of the Board of Directors. “Both his work ethic and ‘local’ approach to business will continue to serve our members well,” he adds.
Kyle grew up on a farm in rural Palmyra, Illinois, and is a 2010 graduate of Palmyra Northwestern High School. After attending Eastern Illinois University, Barrow started his career with Olmsted Brothers in He acquired the business in 2019. Kyle’s previous work experience also includes working in the Accounting Department at the Bank of Springfield, as well as in the construction industry as a Project Manager and in Quality Control.
Olmsted Brothers Insulation is a Charleston-based provider to central Illinois and west central Indiana of quality and personalized insulation and other related services. These include both cellulose and foam insulation installation as well as duct leakage testing to both commercial and residential clients.
“I look forward to helping The Chamber continue to move forward in the important days ahead,” states Barrow. “I thank the Board of Directors for their support of me in this new role,” he states.
