Oscar-Winning Peoria Makeup Artist Gets Honorary Street Name
(Peoria, IL) — An Oscar-winning Peoria make-up artist is getting a street named in her honor. Tami Lane came back to her hometown yesterday as the City of Peoria honorarily renamed Lyndale Road as Tami Lane. She was born and raised in Peoria and walked down Lyndale Road to Hines Primary School as a child. The prosthetic makeup artist has worked on movies such as The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and the Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
