Parent Of Child Allegedly Battered By Teacher Wants Board Pres To Step Down
(Decatur, IL) — The mom of a student allegedly battered by a teacher wants the school board president to resign. Last night, at the Decatur Public Schools board meeting, Tiasha Dady made the call for the resignation of DPS board president Dan Oakes. WAND says Dady claims Oakes and other district officials are trying sweep under the rug what happened to her daughter in August. She claims a teacher at South Shores Elementary slammed her daughter’s head onto the child’s desk leaving her with a concussion. She says her daughter is still traumatised.
