Tuesday, September 28, 2021 is National Voter Registration Day!
Julie Coe, Coles County Clerk and Recorder would like to remind everyone that Tuesday is National Voter Registration Day! If you are on Facebook you will most likely be seeing banners to remind and encourage voters to check their voter registration or to register online.
To check your voter registration, to see if you are registered in Coles County, or to change name/address, you can to the Coles County Clerk Website (https://www.co.coles.il.us/coclerk/elections.htm)
There is a form that you can print, complete and mail in, or you can click on the Illinois State Board of Elections link to register online.
If you wish to register in person, you can come to our office which is located in the Coles County Courthouse, Office of the Coles County Clerk and Recorder, Julie Coe, 651 Jackson Avenue, Room 122, Charleston, Illinois. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. You will need two forms of identification, which includes a photo ID and something that proves your local address. **Important Dates to put on your calendar:
General Primary Election will be June 28, 2022 and Early Voting will begin on May 19, 2022.
General Election will be held on November 8, 2022 and Early Voting will begin on September 29, 2022.
