Two Men In Custody For Allegedly Killing Manual High Student

(Peoria, IL) — Two men are in custody, accused of allegedly killing a Manual High School senior. Peoria Police say 18-year-old Jeremy Moore Jr. and 19-year-old Gary Irby the Third were arrested yesterday and are being charged with first-degree murder in the death of Jerry Snipes Jr. Moore was picked up near South Western Avenue and West Ann Street for unlawful possession of a stolen firearm and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon before being charged in Snipes’ death. Irby was already in custody on unrelated charges and was rearrested on the murder charge.
