Chilli Supper & Bake Sale
Ladies Aid at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Louisville will have their annual chili supper and bake sale this Sunday (11/7) from 4:00-7:00 p.m. In addition to chili, they’ll also have homemade vegetable soup, sandwiches, desserts and drinks for a free-will donation. Carry-out will also be available.
Effingham County Humane Society’s Annual Garage Sale
The Effingham County Humane Society’s annual garage sale (11/5 and 6) Sale hours are 10:00 to 5:00 each day, and tomorrow (11/6) is half-price day. They’ll have clothing, furniture, seasonal decorations, pet supplies including horse tack, shoes, boots and many vintage items like old records and dolls.
Soup Supper at Bethlehem Lutheran Church
Soup’s on, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Altamont, this Sunday (11/7) Their drive-thru chili and soup supper will be from 3:00-5:30, and in addition to chili, they’ll be offering chicken noodle soup, sauerkraut soup, chicken salad sandwiches, barbecue sandwiches and hot dogs, along with six different homemade pies and other desserts.
Charleston Carnegie Public Library Holiday Book Sale
The Charleston Carnegie Public Library’s holiday book sale is going on until 5:30 tonight (11/5) and will continue tomorrow (11/6) from 10:30 to 1:30. Hardcover books, audio books, DVDs, puzzles and games will be $1.00 each; paperback books, kid’s books, CDs and vinyl records are 50-cents; and several books will be just a quarter each.
Strasburg American Legion Candy Buy Back
The Strasburg American Legion will hold their annual candy buy-back tomorrow (11/6) from 1:00-3:00 p.m. They’ll pay one-dollar per pound for candy that’s brought in, up to $5.00. The candy that’s collected will be sent to servicemen and women overseas.
St. Mary’s of Shumway’s Annual Fall Breakfast
St. Mary’s of Shumway’s annual fall breakfast will be held this Sunday (11/7) from 7:00-11:00 a.m. Pancakes, sausage and homemade sweet breads will be available for a free-will donation. They’ll also have a raffle.
Annual Christmas Auction by Strasburg American Legion
The annual Christmas auction sponsored by the Strasburg American Legion will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday (11/7) at the Community Center in Strasburg. The auction will feature many items, including tools, toys, metal signs, food items, bikes, trikes, blankets, and more. Proceeds from the auction help the legion with several projects, like the veteran’s memorial, Easter egg hunt, post-prom, community blood drive and gifts for veterans.
Robinson High School Holiday Market
The Robinson High School Marching Maroons and the RHS Band Boosters invite you to their holiday market tomorrow (11/6). Vendors will be there with lots of ideas for Christmas, including handmade items, jewelry, clothing and food. Entry fee is $5.00.
