Illinois Man Accused Of Assaulting Police During U.S. Capitol Breach

(Washington, DC) — An Illinois man is accused of assaulting police during the January 6th U.S. Capitol breach. James Robert Elliott was indicted in the District of Columbia on multiple charges, including assault and civil disorder. He was arrested Monday in Batavia, Illinois. The indictment says Elliott used a flagpole to assault officers while illegally on the Capitol grounds.
