Altamont American Legion Breakfast (1/15)
The Altamont American Legion will be serving breakfast January 15th from 6:30-10:00 a.m. It’s a free-will donation for scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, milk, coffee and orange juice. Dine-in and carry-out will be available.
Effingham Area Right to Life’s Annual Breakfast (1/16)
Effingham Area Right to Life’s annual breakfast will be held January 16th from 7:00 a.m. to 12:30 at the T-town Banquet Hall. Sit-down or carry-out of whole hog sausage and eggs will be available for a free-will donation. They’ll also have a 50/50 raffle.
Annual Winter Candlelight Walk at General Dacey Trail in Shelbyville (1/22)
The annual winter candlelight walk at General Dacey Trail in Shelbyville will be held January 22nd from 6:00-8:00 p.m. 500 luminaries will light the trial and over 200 will be hanging in the trees along the two-and-a-half-mile hike, along with floating luminaries on Lake Shelbyville. Hot chocolate and apple cider will be available.
Educator Appreciation Day at EIU (1/29)
Educator Appreciation Day will be held January 29th at the EIU men’s and women’s basketball games with Tennessee State. The women’s game tips off at 1:00 and the men will start at 3:30. All educators and their families get free admission. They’ll also have snacks and activities for all to enjoy.
