Illinois Sets Another Daily COVID Case Record

(Springfield, IL) — New COVID-19 cases continue to reach new heights in Illinois. State health officials reported more than 30-thousand new cases yesterday as the Omicron variant fuels Illinois’ largest-ever spike in positive tests. The latest count shatters the previous state record set on Christmas Eve by more than nine-thousand. Illinois’ seven-day case positivity rate is now at ten-point-two-percent.
