Springfield Police Officer Involved In Accident

(Springfield, IL) — A Springfield Police officer is among two people hurt following an accident last week. State police say the officer was responding to an emergency call Thursday when he crashed his squad car into another vehicle on Illinois Route 4 near Browning Road. Both drivers were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
