FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 245 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON…
WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE…Portions of central Illinois, east central Illinois and southeast Illinois, including the following counties, in central Illinois, Shelby. In east central Illinois, Clark, Coles, Cumberland, Edgar and Moultrie. In southeast Illinois, Clay, Crawford, Effingham, Jasper and Richland.
* WHEN…Until 245 PM CST Thursday.
* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 651 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
Some locations that will experience flooding include… Charleston, Mattoon, Effingham, Paris, Robinson, Flora, Marshall, Newton, Toledo, Casey, Altamont, Neoga, Teutopolis, Greenup, Oblong, Palestine, Martinsville, Louisville, Kansas and Ashmore.
