School Mask Ruling Appealed To Illinois Supreme Court

(Chicago, IL) — Governor Pritzker is appealing a recent ruling on masks in schools to the Illinois Supreme Court. He says that the state needs clear guidance regarding the school mask mandate in case another variant surfaces or another pandemic takes place. An appellate court refused to overturn a temporary restraining order on the mandate for several school districts involved in a lawsuit over the matter. A legislative Rules Committee has also refused to renew emergency school masking rules.
