No Classes At Proviso Township District 209 Due To Teachers Strike

(Forest Park, IL) — Classes are canceled today at the Proviso Township District 209 in the western suburbs due to a teachers strike. The union that represents District 209 educators began picketing last month over contract issues. Key issues at stake include pay raises, retirement benefits, sick time and class size. There are also no classes Monday because of the Casimir Pulaski Day holiday.
