Kentucky Man Pleads Guilty To Killing Wayne County Deputy

(Wayne Co., IL) — A Kentucky man is pleading guilty to killing a Wayne County Sheriff’s deputy in December. Ray Tate has admitted to murdering Deputy Sean Riley. Authorities say Riley was killed during a crime spree that spanned three states. Tate’s guilty plea carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison. He will be sentenced on April 22nd.
