DAY ONE…TONIGHT… Wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph are expected tonight, mainly north of the I-70 corridor, and will cause difficult travel for high profile vehicles. Scattered thunderstorms will move into the area after midnight. A few of the storms may be strong.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY… Thunderstorms will increase during the day Wednesday. Severe thunderstorms are likely in the afternoon and evening. Damaging winds, hail, and tornadoes are possible. Areas along and south of I-72 will have the highest risk of significant severe weather. In addition, rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected in some areas, which may lead to localized flooding.
SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT… Spotter activation may be required on Wednesday, most likely during the afternoon and evening.
